Objectives and goals
หลักๆจะเน้นไปในทางการศึกษาจัดทำ Digital Sun sensor ด้วย CMOS และ มีการใช้ sunspot centroid algorithm โดยคาดหวังให้ ราคาต้นทุนถูก ขนาดที่เล็กกว่า และใช้พลังน้อยกว่า โดยต้องมีความหน้าเชื่อถือของสัณญาณเที่ยบเท่ากับราคาในท้องตลาด

The following are the list of components required for developing and testing the prototype of the digital sun sensor.

- Sensor head board witch a CMOS APS monochrome image sensor and its electronics
- Base board witch programmable readout electronics for image processing and serial communication witch the PC
- Sensor mask with single aperture configuration
- Sensor housing to secure the image sensor and its electronics
- USB cable for serial communication witch a PC
- PC and software package supporting the process

- Silicon Laboratories MCU-C8051F120DK micro-controller development kit for
analog-to-digital conversion
- Texas Instruments LMP7704 14-pin Quad Operational Amplifier as voltage
follower/buffer (OP Amp)
- Two resistors as voltage divider
- Capacitor to reduce noise
- RS-232 to USB adapter for serial data communication witch the PC
- PC and software package supporting the process.
- Digital Sun Sensor Characterization Tools
- Test fixture to mount the digital sun sensor onto the turn table
- LED light source for simulating the sun
- Test bench with a two-axes gimbal turn table
- PC and software package supporting the process.
